PRESS RELEASE FROM KAVA – Kinvara Area Visual Arts
KAVA is hosting a new exhibition of fine art prints by Heidi Reich in June. In this show
the artist asks the question “What do you know about Fine Art Printmaking?”.
“The Fun of Printing” – an exhibition of screenprints, lino-cuts and etchings by Heidi Reich
will be on show in the Kinvara Courthouse from Monday 13th June to Sunday 19th June,
from 12noon to 6pm.
On Sunday 12th June at 4pm Heidi will open the show with an introduction to some of the
printing techniques she uses in her work and she will talk about how she plays with them, with an aim to make Fine Art Printmaking better known to the wider public.
Heidi has lived in Ireland for 28 years, and studied for a Diploma in Art and Design at GMIT,
as a mature student. Here she was introduced to the art of print making and is a member of the Galway Print Studio (GPS) and KAVA. Prior to moving to Ireland she worked as a window-dresser, then studied Art Education and worked for 15 years in Secondary Schools teaching art.
